What's there to say? I'm a teenage girl, I live in the South of England, and I'm a big Izzy Stradlin fan. ;) I supposedly live in the "happiest place in the UK" which must be a total lie, and I severely disagree. I'm also just about to leave secondary school and embark on new adventures at a sixth form college; adventures which will require me studying Psychology, English Literature, History, and Film... x'D My interest in music has developed quite nicely over the past few years, I guess. ^_^ I went from being a devoted Indie music fan to someone who fell in with a strange little crowd and stumbled onto MCR. This meant my interest in Scuzz and Kerrang suddenly increased too, and rock music in general literally became my life overnight. ='D And it still is. I've grown to really hate MCR and FOB, anything too mainstream, but when it comes to 80's... I'm hooked. My particular favourite? Guns N Roses of course! I listen to a wide variety though; I just can't get enough of discovering new tunes, y'know? It's the best high in the world.  And in no particular order, here's some of the bands/musicians I like: Aerosmith, GNR, The Clash, Clapton, the Stones, the Beatles, Metallica, Lenny Kravitz, Izzy Stradlin, Loaded, Slash's Snakepit, Prince, Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper, AC/DC, 3 Doors Down, Biffy Clyro, Bowie, Def Leppard, Skid Row, Foo Fighters, Green Day, the Georgia Satellites, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Police, Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, NOFX, Black Flag, NUFAN, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Motley Crue, The Used, Velvet Revolver, Whitesnake, The Eagles, Rainbow, The Who, REM, ELO, Radiohead, Madness, Buckcherry, Hanoi Rocks, Led Zeppelin, Pagoda, Tenacious D... I'm not kidding when I say that list could go on forever. But I do lean towards the classic rock n' roll and blues. ;) Who have I had the fortune to see live? AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Foo Fighters (Wembley gig) with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, Velvet Revolver, Loaded, Bowling for Soup, The Bloodhound Gang, The Futureheads, Supergrass, Pearl, Zebrahead, Army of Freshmen, OJ (guitarist from Twister Sister), Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction, and I have tickets to see Green Day in October. =] And, obviously, my interests don't all revolve around music. I'm a bit of a keen writer, and I've always loved reading. I used to aspire to become an author; whether or not I'm still aiming towards that, I don't know. But they always say the most interesting people a person can meet, are those that have never known what to do with their lives - never known what they wanted to be. As Baz Luhrmann so delicately puts it: "Don’t feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life...the most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives ... some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don't." And my interests were drawn to fanfiction at some point; slash fiction, one big addiction that I couldn't quite fall out of. I'm still addicted. It was originally based on my love of film, because, c'mon, there are so many gay moments out there. ^^ I made tons of friends through it, and started RPing. And of course, band fiction followed soon afterwards. And then, predictably, RPing communities and whatnot. Though I'm more into PSL right now... LJ's just another addiction I can't rid myself of just yet... <3 |
